Delta Green [update]

Thanks Andrew.

I've read a friend's copy of DG pretty comprehensivley, but was under the impression that they were vastly similar books. What cross over is there?

It seems like Pagan is born again hard. From Pagan's A. Scott Glancy via RPG.net (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?s=&postid=684181#post684181)

Well, besides the reprint of the original Delta Green with d20 stats...

There is Delta Green: Eyes Only Vol. 1, which is the three Eyes Only
Chapbooks plus one new scenario each. That is being illustrated as we speak.

There is Delta Green: The Cult of Transcendance. Someone from this very list
is working on whipping that sourcebook and its scenarios into shape. No art
has been assigned but I do have an artist picked out.

Delta Green: Targets of Opportunity is just in the planning stages with
material still being written. No art assigned.

Delta Green: Those Who Win is taking a great deal of my time. Its is a novel
I'm writing and it will be a sequel to John Tynes' The Rules of Engagement.

And that's about it for the moment.

I'm a very happy man today. :D

Finally! They started talking about Cult of Transcendence way back when the first SB came out. Now it's time to find out the real goods on everyone's favorite Swedes... ;)

And I'm looking forward to Eyes Only. I'll finally get a chance to get my paws on the two I didn't before (The Fate and Project Rainbow).

Well other than the to-be-expected extensive use of Delta Green itself, expect some nice expansion on the Army of the Third Eye, mentioned in the SaucerWatch chapter of the first book. Countdown is more global in scope, and details PISCES and GRU SV-8 (the analogs to DG in the British and Russian governments, respectively). These two sections (GRU SV-8 especially) utilize the Karotechia pretty extensively. GRU SV-8 also dovetails nicely into the Skoptsi, a really nasty Russian Shub-Niggurath cult. The chapter detailing OUTLOOK (a sort of psychological conditioning center) utilizes Majestic-12 a lot. Rounding the book out are some sections detailing the schism in ghoul society (and a sample cult, which also makes references to The Fate), one on an "X-Files" display of anomalous artifacts in the NY Museum of Natural History (which also uses The Fate somewhat), a Tcho-Tcho drug cartel, and one detailing a new take on Hastur. Plus the obligatory scenarios, new skills, new archetypes, and other goodies.

Is Delta Green playable without Countdown? Sure. Is it more fun with? Sure. ;)

Some more updates related to the shelved Delta Green computer game.

Be sure to read the email intercepts Scott Clancy wrote for the game: http://www.sanderdolphin.com/px/id18.htm

From Scott:
"I also plan to use the New Orleans ghould clan, the DeMontes, as source material for a Delta Green sourse book tenetively titled Delta Green: Targets of Opportunity. Right now the four source book selections currently being considered are the DeMonte ghoul clan, the Children of the Worm, Black Cod Island, and a Canadian Investigators Agency.

And yes, if anyone wants to submit something, we will be happy to take a look at it. No promises, but we'll consider any new cult, organization, nasty NPC, artifact, or monstrous race. Targets of Opportunity is intended to be a collection of smaller problems that Delta Green agents can deal with in a series of short campaigns, none bigger than an organization capable of
controling a medium sized city."

BTW, if you have created some interesting artifact, book, npc or plotseed for your homebrewed DG or CoC game than make sure to submit it to my website. Be it BRP or D20.

Be seeing you,
