Delta Green

Count me in, but like Mithreander I don't have the books, just mainly read the Delta Green web site short fiction (When Delta Green first came out) and played old school Cthulu (Before d20).

If it's workable, I'd love to play some sort of secret sub-government agent type who know's "some" of what go's on, but not enough to make him "knowledgable".

Think a cross between Mulder and Scully. (But without the gender issues! :) )

High Dex and Con, mid Int and/or Str.

Typical black-suited, uniform haircut, dark glasses and earpiece type.

Would that work?

Sure that would work. Though I would rather you be a government agent and you can learn about the various conspiracies as you play.

A Agent gets the following Class skills:
Bluff
Computer Use
Forgery
Gather Information
Hide
Innuendo
Move Silently
Open Lock
Sense Motive
and three other skills of your choice

PS: You need to decide if your a Offensive or Defensive Option Character. Offensive gets a better BAB, one Good Save, and a Extra Weapon Prof. Defensive gets a better Bonus to AC progression and two Good Saves

Sounds good! I'll go with s defensive character and post all that I can tomorrow. Oh, how many Base skill points do I start with (before Int bonuses)? Any ideas on Feats for a no-good nosey professor?

Oh my God yes. I'm playing like 4 games already, but I absolutely love Delta Green. Sure, I'll join in. Not sure exactly what this character'll be, though... defense, I'm sure of that. Like I said, I'm so definitely in. I think my guy will be the needed government agent.

As to which scenarios I've read: all of them in the main book, and I've glanced over the ones in Countdown, though I don't know them well. But like Agent Gray, I can edit my memory. ;)

Are you using the defense bonuses (p15)?

Although Nathanial has always liked the way he lives, and would want nothing to change, his curiosity about the occult and strange has dragged him out into the ever changing world. He's not confortable with others, but is forced to deal with them to sate his curiosity. He teaches a course in english liturature at the local university.
Nathanial is a very serious individual that seems to be always looking for information. His curiousity is the drive in his life. Other then that, he does not like change and has his office ot the university the same as the one in his house.

ALways wearing a tie with a sweater, he looks the part of an Oxford professor, except for his mirrored glasses he wears all oer the place... no one is sure why.

Well, I'm not the DM, but there's no alignment in COC, so you don't need that. Languages are also handled differently than in DnD: rather than each rank giving you access to another language, they're actually each handled as individual Int skills. Not "all or nothing" like DnD is.

Dr. Hartley took part in an FBI operation against a children's care facility in rural Maryland in early 2002 after she treated several children from the facility and began to suspect sexual abuse. After the raid, and what was found there, she was recruited into the Delta Green group, a government project researching strange phenomena.

Note: if you have the Countdown book, you might recognize the home in question.

Andrew glad to have you aboard!! :) Another government agent would be great. I had really wanted there to be at least two. FBI would be a good choice but it's up to you.

I am bumping the starting level to 6. For those who don't have the book, this is what you get.

Defense Option:
BAB +3
One Base Save at +2, Two Base Saves at +5 (you pick which)
Defense Bonus +3 (Yes I am using the Defense Bonus Variant on pg 15)
Four Feats
One Ability increase at 4th level.

Offense Option:
BAB +5
Two Base Saves at +2, One Base Save at +5
Defense Bonus +1
Four Feats plus a free Weapon Proficiency Feat (melee, thrown, pistol, rifle, shotgun, or submachine gun.)
One Ability increase at 4th level

Skill Points are (8 + Int bonus) x 4 at first level and 8 + Int bonus every level after that.

Characters do not start with any Weapon Proficiencies.

The only Psychic feat you can have is Sensitive (requires a CHA of 15)

Languages are cover with with Speak Other Language skill. For each language you need to have a Speak Other Language: "Language Name" skill. The higher the skill the better you are. Everyone can speak, read, and write their native language.

You cannot begin the game with the Cthulhu Mythos skill.

Your beginning Sanity is WIS x 5
