Delta Green

Black Beard

First Post
I have always wanted to GM a Delta Green game but my gaming group is more interested in playing D&D at the moment. So I am going to try my hand at a play by post game.

For those who don't know Delta Green is a Call of Cthulhu game set in the modern day and it has very X-files/ Conspiracy genre sort of feel. Half the fun is trying to figure out what is really going on and who to trust.

Players usually are connected with the government or have jobs or skills that would make them valuable. I would like for at least one player to be a government agent (CIA, FBI, etc).

I am looking for 4-5 good players for this game. Knowledge of Call of Cthulhu or Delta Green is not required. Characters will begin at 6th level using Call of Cthulhu d20 rules. Beginning abilities will be determined using a 28 point buy.

Agent Gray reporting for duty.

I have most of the Delta Green books, and I'm very familiar with the system. I'd love to play. When do you need the character by?

I hate to see a game NOT start do to a lack of players, SO... even though I have neither book nor idea (only played Call od Cthulhu once with a very BAD gm), I'm willing to invest some time in this enterprise.

Is there an SRD available?

How about an ocultist/loremaster/collage professor type. High int and wis, low str and chr. A book worm, sold on the idea that there ARE things out there, and has dedicated his free time to find them.

Would that work? What kind of detail do you need?

O!!!

Count me in, but like Mithreander I don't have the books, just mainly read the Delta Green web site short fiction (When Delta Green first came out) and played old school Cthulu (Before d20).

If it's workable, I'd love to play some sort of secret sub-government agent type who know's "some" of what go's on, but not enough to make him "knowledgable".

Think a cross between Mulder and Scully. (But without the gender issues! :) )

High Dex and Con, mid Int and/or Str.

Typical black-suited, uniform haircut, dark glasses and earpiece type.

Would that work?

Well you can do your own stats since it is a 28 point buy. What kind of skills do you want. A Professor gets the following class skills:
Concentration
Diplomacy
Gather Information
Three Knowledge Skills
Research
Speak Other Language
Spot
and three skills of your choice
