Kaidan: a Japanese Ghost Story setting as a 3 module mini-campaign arc, the first adventure called The Gift, will be released in August 2009 to correspond with the release of Pathfinder RPG, as a compatible product.

The Gift - what begins as a simple escort of a gift to a powerful lord in a foreign land leads to a series of uncanny events that risk more than the lives of a party of adventurers, rather the fate of their eternal souls. Deceit, vengeance and dark revelations follow the party as they explore a dark fantasy world called Kaidan: a Japanese Ghost Story setting. Kaidan is a breathtaking empire of samurai, ninja and undead lords, rich in legend, culture and nightmares.

The Gift is a mini-campaign arc and introduction to Kaidan, a dark fantasy setting of oriental myth and gothic horror. It is a world sure to make the bravest adventurer's blood run cold.

Got more writers now!

Since, I don't have time to write my own adventures, and the collaborative publisher I'm working with at Dementia 5 Publishing House is my primary author, (which is why I have second billing on the cover design), I was worried about getting my entire arc out in a timely manner.

I just picked up two writers, both from Australia, so it looks like I'm going to meet my schedule of one module published per month for the 3 part mini-arc, then in the fall I'll begin a larger campaign going from 1st - 20th level, as well as the Kaidan RPG Handbook setting and rules splat also to be published in the fall of this year.

I have an international team of professionals and creatives working on my Kaidan project: D5 publisher/writer is from Worchester, Mass. I am in north central Illinois. My two new writers are from Australia. The cover design, art by Jan Pospisil is from Johannesburg, South Africa. I've got a UK artist who is teaching in China, and Mark Hyzer, another American.

I'm starting to feel like a bigger publisher than ever before!

The Gift is just about ready!

We're wrapping up the last details to The Gift: Gaijin Landing - the first of a 3 part mini-campaign arc set in Kaidan: a Japanese Ghost Story setting.

We will also make available a free download of the Alpha rules for Kaidan.

The Gift: Gaijin Landing will be available in the RPGNOW PDF shop for $7.99
