All those names are new to me, except for Verin -- which was listed as a demon prince in the old 1st edition Monster Manual II. As far as I know, Verin has never been fleshed out in any TSR/WotC product.

Gary Gygax, in his Gord novels, had an interesting demon lord named Vuron, who served Grazz't. I always assumed that Vuron = Verin. (Because of legal issues, a lot of Gygaxian characters showed up in those novels with slightly modified names.)

Considering that the Abyss has either 666 or infinate levels, and that it's VERY difficult to control more than one or two at once, there has got to be a whole heapin' helpin' of demon princes.

I recognize several of them off the top of my head, and I suspect that you'll find them all detailed within the 2e Planescape books, 'Hellbound:The Blood War', 'Planes of Chaos' and perhaps one or two other books.

Vucarik was a wandering Abyssal Lord not tied to a specific layer, a fellow child of the Abyssal Lord (lady) Pale Shroud as I recall. He resembled a human wrapped in chains (making some suspect he may have had some bizzare potential tie to the kytons of Baator). He was fairly civil as Abyssal Lords went and usually wouldn't kill those who randomly happened upon him, but would spare them in exchange for a task they would be given by him.

If nobody else answers the others today, whenever I get the chance I'll jump back in this evening and write something on the others after I can look at the books I mentioned above.

The names come from one of the Planescape products on fiends and denizens of the lower planes. I think the title was "Faces of Evil" or something. I don't have my copy here at work so I can't give a quick answer. If you can, go to the WotC site and post on the post your question on the "Manual of the Planes" sub-board, "Xanxost" will probably answer your question within 15 minutes because his screen name comes from that same book. I know he knows it by heart.

Verin/Ztefano is allegedly Graz'zt's viceroy/major domo/right hand man if I remember correctly.

Vulcarik is known as the "Consort of Chains." I think he was the closest the tanar'ri lords ever get to being "lawful". He also apparently has some tie to the Kytons of Jangling Hiter.

Lupercio was the "Baron of Sloth" if I remember correctly and Alvarez is the "Purging Duke". I don't remember much about him except the name.

I'll try to find the information for you when I get home if no one else responds by then.

The Planescape sources don't have a single compiled list of the various Abyssal Lords, but rather the minor ones tend to get scattered among the various sources on the fiends, the Blood War, the Abyss, etc.

'Hellbound: The Blood War'
'Planes of Chaos'
'On Hallowed Ground'
'Faces of Evil: The Fiends'

those 4 have the mass of material relating to the Tanar'ri and the Abyssal Lords.

(And Xanxost gets mentioned from the WotC MotP boards and I don't? I'm hurt. :( j/k)

Verin is listed as Graz'zt's major domo in For Duty and Deity, and is a male marilith.

In my campaigns, he'd be dead, cause I killed him. :]

Sorry. Actually I started to give you props too the first draft of my post (before I actually posted it), but then I saw that you had posted already. You are the other one who I figured would know the answer, but I also figured that if you knew the answer off of the top of your head you'd have said so already. :)

Really? Well, that's certainly a huge change from Vuron as he appearances in the Gord novels. In those novels he was an androgynous, white demon lord who seemed be more honorable than all others, far more intelligent than most, and utterly dedicated to Graz'zt...

Big change. Although a "male" marilith is an interesting take.
