Demon possesion mist

Appleseeth

First Post
Normally I wouldn't post a simple elite-ed monster, but this guy is so much more. The concept is fairly simple: a demon in mist/ghostly form that possesses NPCs and PCs. The exectution: A wraith that has taken on powers a qualities of a Goristro and a Tormenting Ghost. Here he is, and he has a name:

Sxladaz, Goristro Demon Mist Level 5 Elite Lurker
Huge immortal humanoid (demon) XP 400
Initiative +10 Senses Perception +2; darkvision
HP 100; Bloodied 50
Regeneration 5 (if demon takes radiant damage, regeneration
is negated until the end of the demon’s next turn)
AC 18; Fortitude 15, Refl ex 18, Will 14
Immune disease, poison; Resist 10 necrotic, insubstantial;
Vulnerable 5 radiant (see also regeneration above)
+2 to all saving throws
Action Points: 1
Speed fly 6 (hover); phasing ; see also shadow glide
m Shadow Touch (standard; at-will) ✦ Necrotic
+8 vs. Reflex; 1d6 + 4 necrotic damage, and the target is
weakened (save ends).
M Double Attack (standard; at-will)
Sxladaz makes two shadow touch attacks.
Combat Advantage ✦ Necrotic
Sxladaz deals an extra 1d6 necrotic damage against any
target it has combat advantage against.
Shadow Glide (move; encounter)
Sxladaz shifts 6 squares.
M Demonic Possession (standard; recharge 5 ) ✦ Charm
Target must be a living humanoid; +8 vs. Will; Sxladaz enters
the target’s space and is removed from play, and the
target is dominated (save ends). Sxladaz can use
this power only against one creature at a time. When the target
is no longer dominated, or when Sxladaz chooses to
end its demonic possession (a free action), Sxladaz reappears in a
square adjacent to the target.
Alignment Chaotic evil Languages Common, Infernal
Skills Stealth +11
Str 4 (–1) Dex 18 (+6) Wis 10 (+2)
Con 13 (+3) Int 6 (+0) Cha 15 (+4)

What do you guys think? Is he cool, or just am I on the wrong track for making awesome monsters? I'll also go ahead and tell you that he's meant for an easy epilogue encounter, just to cap off an adventure.

Did you cobble the wraith and goristo stats together?

My main suggestion is to format it better. Put the ability names in bolded text, so it's not just one big lump.

Ok, so I cleaned it up a bit, hope it's a little more readable now. I'm used to just posting PDFs, but that's not really viable in this case.

As far as stat mix goes, he's about 85% wraith, 10% goristro and 1 ability/5% from the tormenting ghost. From the goristro he has his huge size, demon and immortal types (demons are immortals in my campaign) double attack and infernal language (again, my campaign setting).

So, now, could I get some critique/congrats on this guy that will surely scare the pants off my PCs? I'm really gonna play up his possession ability, it's basically the basis of the adventure.

My biggest concern here is that this guy is going to be hellishly difficult to kill.

While he is inside a target, he can't be hurt.

When he's outside, he only takes half damage from weapons.

When he hits someone with his shadow touch, they're weakened - meaning they do half damage, and he takes half damage, so he's only getting 1/4th the damage.

He has regeneration 5.

So, just be aware that he has some serious staying power. He could really tear a party apart with good hit and run tactics.

Granted, he has only 100 hp. I honestly don't know how well the party will be able to tear him a new one. Just be careful.

Funny thing is, except for the possesion power, that's all from the Wraith. And well the 100 HP is from making it elite, wraith originally had 37. Do you think I should add something to help the players get the demon out of them, such as an aid another check or something. I have a skill challenge earlier that gets the players to exorcise the demon from an NPC. Perhaps use one of those checks to help out on the saving throw. What say you, people of ENWorld?

What you might do as far as the possession power is: if someone beats their saving throw, the monster can't dominate them again that Encounter. That means he can't just keep nabbing the big beefy fighter.
