Describe Pinning Smash to me

- Drop some nearby terrain/stone blocks/whatever onto the monster. It doesn't get free from them until you've stepped away.
- Cut muscles or tendons such that the monster takes some time to painfully rise to its feet.
- Bash the monster painfully against the side of its head, causing it to lose its balance.

The 'can't move until you're no longer adjacent' bit, as was covered earlier, is explained pretty well just by having the fighter threaten a nasty blow if the monster tries to rise while he's within attack range.

Here's some fun ones I've thought up for my dwarf fighter (some of these depend on having a free hand):

Grab the opponent's beard, belt, or shield.

Stand on the opponent's tail or foot.

Grab the larger opponent by the (well, you know). I can just see a Pit Fighter dwarf doing this to an ogre. "Going somewhere? Yer nae taking these wi' ye!"

Entangling the opponent's weapon in your weapon, or in your shield.

Smacking the opponent in the stomach or legs to keep him off balance, so he staggers around each time he tries to move. "Not so fast now, are ye?"

Jackie Chan style, wrapping a chain, belt, or rope around yourself and the opponent as part of the attack.

Wrapping up the opponent's cape or cloak in your fist. "Wearing fancy dress to the fight, eh?"

Simply yelling at the opponent each time it tries to move. Think jumping up in their face, screaming "Oi!".

I think it's more fun for the player to think "how is MY character immobilizing THIS opponent"? I like to re-fluff the encounter and daily powers as I use them, even though, mechanically, they are the same. It makes it feel more "martial" and "action movie heroic" to me.
