Describing a Spellfire Wielder Absorbing Spells

I currently have a spellfire wielder in the game I am running and he is planning on absorbing some levels from the cleric when he gets healed. I'm not looking to open up a debate on spellfire-there are plenty of those elsewhere :) . I'm just wondering how you would describe what the cleric feels, if anything, as his spell is absorbed. I'm just tossing around ideas right now and would like some other opinions on the matter. I'm thinking of going with anything from the cleric not feeling anything different to him feeling as if his spell was actually ripped from him as he cast it, so any ideas are welcome. Look forward to hearing ideas-Thanks.

What are the actually game/mechanical affects of this?

Game Mechanics

The Magic of Faerun describes that a spellfire wielder can ready an action to absorb spells that target him as if he were a rod of absorption. The spell then has no effect on the spellfire wielder. The spellfire wielder gets to store one level of spellfire energy for every spell level absorbed, limits of how much he can store are based on his constitution. He can use this energy for different things like doing damage with a ranged/melee touch attack or healing with it.

It is kind of like they are taking the magic directed at them and absorbing it, turning it into the raw essence of magic to be used later how they see fit (within the rules of course). I'm just curious as to what people's views are on how having your spell absorbed by a spellfire wielder would feel. Would it be a passive sort of thing that just happens with no noticable difference from casting the actual spell, or would it be more like thier energy was being sucked from thre caster by some unknown source? Or something entirely different perhaps? I'm just looking for opinions on the matter.

Once a caster has ended the casting action, the spell is beyond them. If it is absorbed, they should feel nothing unless the spell is dismissable (D), and in that case all they would feel was a mental cue that their spell was absorbed.

I think the first question you need to answer is, "What does the cleric feel when he casts a spell normally?"

If you're playing FR, this probably has a lot to do with feeling the way the Weave shifts around him as the Power comes into play.

Perhaps he feels the Weave begin to shift as normal, but suddenly the components of his spell unravel, resulting in an effect similar to a weight on a rubber sheet, centered on the spellfire wielder.
