I'm actually surprised at how many more of Marvel's are in that Top 100 than DC. I really would have expected it to be more even.

And it really is nice to see Watchmen still up on that list. It deserves it, and even still beats out 300 despite 300 getting the boost of a movie that year.

Well, Marvel's Civil War and World War Hulk eents have handily eclipsed DC's neverending and climaxless event series. Fables seems to be a bigger moneymaker for DC than most of their superhero series.

The real surprise is the Dark Tower Gunslinger series.

I wasn't too surprised at that. It's a product with a huge cult following, just like Buffy.

Watchmen has consistently sold well for the past 20 years.

and furthermore... wants nothing to do with the Watchmen movie. He honestly doesn't seem to care.

DC and him must have a very big falling out or he holds a hell of a grudge. ;)

I think it is more that after the disaster that was the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie, he's stated he wants nothing to do with any adaptations of his works. He doesn't want his name in the credits or to be associated with them at all. This is what I heard, anyway.

To him, the movie adaptations aren't his work. His work was the comic, and anything else is someone else's work.
