Did anyone name the kingdom depicted by this map?

You should be able to talk a wargamer at a con out of a copy of OS for about $2 or so, and you may-well be able to find a copy on eBay for that, too: it doesn't sell very well :D (Naturally, I'd name the map "Greyhawk" :D ).

Not yet. But I've been considering a campaign in which the PCs explore that area & get to name lots of stuff themselves.

Avalonia, or better yet, the Avalon Hills?

and yes, I have played Outdoor Survival. Albeit, only in the 80's and not with OD&D. The true 1970's OD&D+Outdoor Survival experience. I can never have it.

I feel a little relieved.

Please do, and tell us about your experiences. :)

Cheers!

Thanks for the encouragement! No doubt it will be recounted on my web site when it happens. There's no telling how long it'll be until then, though. I'm committed to reviving my LotR campaign when next the GM chair swings my way, so I expect it'll be two or three years before I next get to pick something off my to-do list. Too much gaming to be done, too little time.
