Did I dream this up...?

I swear I remember seeing a feat that granted 2 (or 3, or maybe 4) new class skills. Effectively: "When you take this feat, choose X cross-class skills. These skills are henceforth class skills for your character (though half-ranks previously spent on each skill remain so and do not retroactively become full ranks)."

Problem is, I can't find it in a book anywhere.

Anyone recognize this? Can you tell me where to find it?

I can't think of a feat that does that, but if you take a level of human paragon you get to pick your class skills (10 of them I think).

Other things similar to this are...
  • Exemplar-adds all skills as class skills
  • Able learner feat-all skills from any classes you have only cost one skill point per rank
  • Some cleric domains add certain skills to your class list
  • I think psions get extra class skills based on their discipline

Of coures none of those do the thing you were looking for, but maybe it was one of the cleric domains you saw? Trickery says something like that...take a look and see if it sounds familiar.

Thanks for the thoughts. I looked at the Trickery Domain, but that wasn't it. Adaptive Learning from the Human Paragon was close, but I don't think that was it either.

Maybe I really did dream it...

Thanks anyhow. ;)

There was a feat in FRCS that did something similar -- you got to pick one skill that was previously a cross class skill for you, and that skill was considered class skill for you. You also got a +2 bonus to all checks using that skill. IIRC, it was called Cosmopolitan, and was a regional feat for Waterdeep, and some other regions.

However, it was changed in 3.5, and now it just gives bonuses to certain skills.

Regards.

Speaking of which, there are several feats that do this for certain skills. If you are looking for particular skills, then maybe we could help find the feat...

Mongoose Publication has done a feat like that, allowing you to choose two cross-class skills to become class skills. The book I have seen it in was their "Ultimate Feats" book.

I think there was a feat that did that in Kingdoms of Kalamar. There might also have been a similar feat in one of the Rokugan books.

Versitile: choose 2 x-class skills, they are now class skills.
Cosmopolitan: choose a x-class skill, it is not a class skill, and you get +2 to that skill.
