Did the "Complete" line of books replace the "Splatbooks"?

Weapons Master is one of those PrCs whose abilities have been overruled (some might say "nerfed") by the 3.5 rules -- in this case, the "no stacking of increased threat ranges. I'd tweak it before using it in 3.5, but otherwise, I think a good general rule is that if it looks like it will fit in your game, use it regardless of which source it comes from.

Amusingly, the Psychic Weapons Master includes that nifty power. Now, I'm not sure how official that is, but it's not too bad.

An interesting question you pose reguarding the "splatbooks" and "completebooks".

My opinion is that they're all splatbooks. It's like comparing oranges and oranges..........Valencia, navel, jaffa, tangerine.....it's all how you like them.

Some PrCs that appeared in the original line of splats have also seen major updates. I'm thinking of the order of the bow initiate, for one: it went from being a consummate machine-gun archer to a one-shot-kill kind of guy.

On the other hand, the Oriental Adventures revision update in Dragon #318 says nothing about the Weapon Master (Kensei) prestige class, which implies it's perfectly fine in a 3.5 game.
