Did you buy the Beta Book? Get the "Cut" material...

If so make sure you get the PDF download. There is an "extra" in the DL that contains all of the spells and magic items cut from the Beta print to keep the page count within range.

These spells and items will be in the final version of PF, but until then the PDF is the only way to have them.

No, and I doubt I will. I did certainly download the beta. At this point I'm not looking for a complete overhaul, I'm looking for tweaks. Simpler grappling? I'm down with that. A more complicated barbarian? Not so much. Ultimately Pathfinder will be a great source for a few house rules, and some "alt" character classes. I'm sure Paizo is anticipating a spectrum of responses, from "whole hog" to "barely any hog at all". :)

What I'm most excited about will be the continuation of 3.5 compatible adventure materials, and other rules extensions (like a monster book, for example).

I just ordered my copy. I fully support what Paizo is trying to do.
I tired of 3.5 awhile back been playing other things. This may just bring me back to the fold.

I have two copies on order. Hopefully they'll get here by the end of next week so we can build characters.

I ran the alpha and it went really well, so I'll be adopting it whole hog.

Absolutely. And that's the way it should be: ultimately, each and every gamer has to make choices and use PRPG, if at all inspiring for any particular DM, to his or her tastes and aspirations. Like any other D&D/d20 game variant we've been using thus far (like Arcana Evolved, for instance).

The point of PRPG is to keep 3.5 in print. But just reprinting the d20 SRD à la Mongoose would be a waste of time for everybody. Trying to tweak the system and "fix" what many fans of the system want to be fixed is the goal, but in the end, few are going to be pleased with the result from the get-go.

It's for us to take our DMing responsabilities at heart and then to make Pathfinder what we want it to be at our gaming table. Then, and only then, will it become a living system that will evolve over time on a path no one can predict. It's an effort on the long run. Not instant gratification. Just the way it should be, IMO.

If that is really the point, they are missing it. The tweaks they do might be neat for some, but not for everyone. The Grapple and the Combat Maneuver system is a good change, and I think no one objects to that. But the Barbarian Rage Points, the Monks Ki Points, the extra spell-like abilities for the spellcaster classes? That's not for everyone, only for those that like class specific sub-systems and mini-games, and mostly interesting for those that already got their copy of 3E and needs an "excuse" to buy a new core rulebook. The changes are definitely not suited to keep 3.5 in print...

I don't think so, because there is a spin on the point that must be included.
They are not simply keeping WotC's 3.5 in print.
They are keeping the rules base in print, but as their own game.
And that is going to create some degree of conflict. But it completely makes sense.
