Okay, I've updated Devlin's character post to reflect the new purchases. I'm still waiting for one more judge to approve his level increase.

I'd like to welcome Boddynock and B4cchus to the LEW Judges team. They've been helping a great deal with character approvals, and now they'll be judging adventures and voting on rules as well. Thank you both for your time and dedication!
Sweet! Now we have people to start spell checking all the adventures!

That's spooky, Bront. I was just looking at one of your deity entries and thinking you should have used a spell-checker! :p ;)

B4cchus & I have been making some updates to The Guide to Living EN World, and there's an issue which needs a little discussion by all the judges.

Knight Otu has volunteered as a story coordinator.
Now, KO has resigned as a judge, so we can remove his name but we're still left with the issue of "a story coordinator". Does anybody know what the story coordinator is meant to do in the current structure of LEW? Is it a position we want to maintain, and if so, who wants to take it on?

I don't think it is a position that was ever used, so don't worry.

I imagine the story coordinator was supposed to make sure all the adventures didn't present conflicting information. I think the judges, judging each individual adventure, are in a better position to keep tabs on that kind of thing. Also, if every DM were willing to put forth a little extra effort and put a summary of their adventure on the wiki, not only would the world be more cohesive and accessible, no single "story coordinator" would have to go through every adventure and recompile all the information, as El Jefe was once so diligently doing. It was a daunting task, way too big for one person, really, but it really should be done.

What would everyone think about either A) Delaying the awarding of DM credits until some kind of adventure summary was compiled or B) giving a few extra DM credits for compiling the info?

I like the idea of 'Dm summaries, of course. But requiring them for credit would entail detailing what they would have to contain. Perhaps they should contain the following:

  • geographic information presented
  • information about NPCs
  • organizations
  • etc

I'm also happy to approve DM credits for administrative work of this type

Definitely those first three. Also, a summary of events that occurred during the adventure would be good.

And this wouldn't be retroactive, so people would obviously keep all their old DM credits even if they didn't compile any info. But perhaps we could offer some DM credits for people willing to go back through the old threads and compile old adventures as well (like El Jefe did). Should I turn this into an official proposal?
