Perhaps EWP: Whip and Weapon Finesse, for being dexterous enough to use the whip in that fashion? ;)

Oh, and btw, imo... if you're spending IC time and XP to develop a feat, you should be able to have the feat regardless of whether or not you can take one atm. For instance, if Troi researched such a feat at 2nd level, he should have the feat despite not being able to take a feat at that level. Of course, to train others in that feat, they'd have to have an available feat slot... but they don't have to spend XP to get it, either.

Those requirements sound reasonable, but I am by no means approving or disallowing any specific feat at this time. ;)

As for the feat... perhaps you could gain access to the feat whenever you develop it, but then it would be considered as having spent your next available (applicable) feat.

So, if Troi the Ranger came up with that whip feat at 2nd level, he could take it and it would count as his 3rd level feat. If Troi was 4th level and a wizard, his 5th level Wizard bonus feat could not be used towards it. If Troi was a 7th level Fighter, it would count as his 8th level Fighter feat.

Passing the feat on could easily work as you describe.

Make sense?

Just my suggestion: get whips with the magical enhancements shock/flame/frost instead. That's 3d6 right there, and a lot easier than the trouble of making a feat for 1d3+1 damage. You could do both, of course, if you wanted, or just the feat if that's not your style.

I just think it would be cool to see a guy dual-wielding flaming whips. :)

Oddball question I haven't yet found the answer to:

Where is the Red Dragon Inn? In the city of Lathirn?

Is the place the tavern is at coastal or elevated, rural or urban (if not Lathirn) or...?

Alright, I'm having trouble reading the inn thread and storing what I read to memory. Anyone willing to give me a synopsis?

I had a minor idea that may or may not be possible: Could we some how give me a post at the begining of the Rouge Gallery character thread? If I had a single post at the begining of the page I could keep a single list of all the characters I've reviwed, and repost the quidlines for character creation. This will help keep non-charcter posts from the thread, and it could serve as an index so that DMs can find the PCs characters from the list. I'm not sure if this is even possible on the boards, but if it is it will help keep everything organized.
Also, we should consider consolidating all the information on Enworld, such as charcter creation guidlines, a list of approved classes, Prestige classes, feats, etc. I was trying to explain Enworld to a few of the players in one of my games, and it would be nice if I could direct them to a singel post, instead of a 6 page thread. Just a thought.

I was thinking that a player with an 8th level character could possibly retire that character (still run him, but not as an adventurer, stops gaining experience and such), to start a new character at half that level.
Great idea Creamsteak. I was telling some of my RL players about Living Enworld, and one of them wnated to know how we were handeling monster characters. I had no idea, so I told him it was TBA. I think this is a great solution.

I've finished reviewing all of the characters that have been submited. Here is the list of good characters as it stands ion the RG thread:

  • Telerin Sathalos (Ankh-Morpork Gaurd)
  • Rinaldo di Senzio (Velmont)
  • Troi Delmontes (Gnomworks)
  • Tristen Agercourt (Sir Osis of Liver)
  • Ned Paradox (Wippit Guud)
  • Gilder Goldbuckle (Wandering Monster)
  • Felixandryr Tharvishan (Arken)
  • Dweldan (Ravellion)
  • Thurgan Hammer (Keia)
  • Llolian Theraspal (Snipehunt)
  • Zumar Dakarr (MeepoTheMighty)
  • Torindel the Tall (Jade Solstar)
  • Velbrik (WizWrm)

Edit: I have finally developed Super Powers, I can see into the future! I can already see Creamsteak's post that will be made at 6:02 pm when it is only 5:24 pm. Mwuha ha ha ha, Now to conquer the world!

Ach, I hope that this goes through...I have been trying to post since last night, with no success for the most part.
Back from Great America (roller-coasters/overpriced beer/bad sunburn), though I'm off to work in 2 hours time. I will post/check these thresds from work, as we have computer terminal/kiosks all over the club where I work.

CS: I don't know if one should have to retire a character to start another. I played in a game where I ended up with 4 Characters, because several other guys had started games, then gave up. We the collective players just sort of lumped our characters into a guild of sorts and picked which character went on what adventure. Only 1 per player per adventure, of course.

Could not a Player have a character in several ENWorld cities/locales, so long as they didn't try and have multiples go on the same Quest/adventure?

As well, don't know if you received my email regarding the proposed game from 'graf'. With the one that Garyh has in mind, one that I would happily run and the one from graf, that would make 3 right off the bat, which should tie up/get started pretty much everyone that has posted in the tavern.

I am creating an NPC who shows up to post 'Adventurers Wanted' notices for third parties, 'Brindle'. It will give me a presence in the Red Dragon, and allow me to answer questions from potential players. I do not promise easy answers, or ones that make sense, as Brindle is a bit Vague and Mysterious...

Arcady:I am in San Francisco as well, small <EN>World, eh?

Probably a silly question, but do you want us posting places, things, people, etc. on the almanac thread? I don't want to gunk it up with suggestions if there's a better place.
