Sparky, Ioleta's total weight also seems way, way above what it should be (unless I missed something). I mention it 'cause you might be able to skip encumbrance penalties. And if I did miss something and it should be eighty something pounds, you might want to edit the needed armor check penalties and &ct.

I added up the weight and it's right; it looks like all the clothing is mostly what did her encumbrance in.

Has there been any call on the question of nobility and how to get it?

I wrote into jaan's background that he is the 3rd son of the 2nd son of some noble family. Or something like that. I was thinking of taking his next level in aristocrat to give it some juice.

Probably will do it anyway, just for the flavour. OK, he scarifices a level of paladin progression (and all that paladin goodness), but then he's a 1st level nob with two 3rd levels (I think) at the mo', so balance schmalance :D

Thomas, will he be able to take the progression as soon as he gets the necessary XP? *crosses fingers*

Assuming the ability does detect Evil alignment, it would be quite hard for evil people to take positions of power in DnD cities and societies for this very reason, I think. I was thinking on it the other day. Would you not, as townsfolk, take advantage of the Paladin's ability to screen people seeking positions in your society. While a bit of a plot killer, it has an internal logic I think.
By the rules, yes, the Paladin can detect evil alignments. How easy is it, though, to masquerade as a Paladin and go on a "witch-hunt" on innocent townsfolk? So, a Paladin's ability detect evil is "foilable" and sometimes can be fooled. His word doesn't always carry a lot of weight, especially if the evil noble has more political power than he does.

Not to change the subject, but...

Can the requisite judges check on some of the longer running adventures? There are a few that have going on for over four months now. "Slaying the Dreamer", for example, has been going on since September, and has been reduced to two regular players and an intermittent DM. "The Revtrieval of Fallon's Key" has been going on longer and hasn't seen any activity for weeks. Can we find a way to move these games along, so the characters can get back to the Inn and new adventures?

What Jack said... if we weren't far, far away and very much in the middle of something, Fant would do as Jaan did and walk home. :(

-Regular player #2.

edit: Oh, and Doghead- unless I misremember, once you multiclass from Paladin, you can't go back. If I'm wrong, feel free, and sure, as soon as you get the XP. If not, you may want to reconsider.

I emailed Mithreander about his game, but since Janos is still online, he should wrap up the adventure if the characters are starting to feel overwhelmed and want to return home for a second adventure.

As far as "Fallon's Key" goes, I'll wrap it up if I don't get an email response in 2-4 days... if that's alright with the players.

AAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't nerf my paladin with a level in aristocrat for the sake of integrity to the background and versimilatude (I can't spell good eiver).

Well I could, but then he couldn't go back to being a paladin. Any chance of doing a fiddle? You know, take the aristocrat as his first level and move into paladin when he goes up a level? I don't think that he has rolled a dice or done any funky paladin thingies (which count) yet .... ?

Oh well, worth a try. Guess I will just have to take paladin2 with all the BAB increase and special abilities an all that stuff after all. Its so unfair.

Just wondering: Do we need MORE Judges or DMs? Lemme know, I'll do either.

Well, more DMs are always good (especially if some PCs are about to escape from games that are going nowhere).

I give dpdx a thumbs up as a Judge.
