There was some discussion about setting up a second tavern for higher level characters in a different city. Probably won't happen till you get a few more 4th or 5th level active characters, but if we keep getting adventures regularly, especialy with the new montly exp system, we should be get there.

heh, I was pretty psyched when I discovered there wereMortalist on LEW besides mine.

maybe I should write up "Fallstown" as a location for a higher level inn up in the Earling/Wildwood/possessed mountain area. The location has, by its nature, higher level NPCs (mostly experts and wizards types) and a higher cap on gp value ofitems for sale....

I think several people were talking about possibly sticking it over in Riem, but I'm sure that's still up for debate. Riem probably needs an adventure or two to flesh out the area, and introduce players to it.

I think the question is - what actually is on the map? ;) If anyone here is a good mapper...?

I'd also like to throw out that we do have a second tavern - it simply isn't active (the Wanderlust Inn).

Knight, you mentioned in another thread that there are no rules for researching spells yet. If the spells are aproved, can't you just take them as your free-on-level-up spells? Per the RAW, you research those...

Perhaps if I get them approved as new known spells (without my character's name attached), but where is the fun in that? ;)
If I get them approved as being the creation of Ashnar (new new spells), them most likely they have to be researched as such. I'm sure the two free spells are meant as research done on well-documented spells.

Spells Gained at a New Level: Wizards perform a certain amount of spell research between adventures. Each time a character attains a new wizard level, she gains two spells of her choice to add to her spellbook. The two free spells must be of spell levels she can cast. If she has chosen to specialize in a school of magic, one of the two free spells must be from her specialty school.

I think your interpretation is too harsh, and hurts Wizards compared to Sorcerors. I could swear I've seen something more specific on this, but it may only be in the print version of the rules, which I don't have with me.

If it was up to me (which it isn't, I admit) I'd let you do it...

I'll definitely agree with Knight Otu that the two automatic spells per level are supposed to be common spells, not unique spells the wizard makes up.
