But, maybe, we might should get with Creamsteak (since he's the judge) and agree on a time that if TH doesn't communicate his intentions by the game is handed to another DM or killed. Shall we take this discussion to the thread...?

Okay as CS said in this thread, link, he's moving that drops the number of PbP moderators down to one... Namely me, I don't see this being an issue except that I'm not very active in LEW and I'm more likely to miss something going on in here than in the normal PbP forums.

Hey Castaway hunters,

I just posted up a question about what we want to do in the game thread - I don't drop in here often. Sorry. In hindsight, I should have checked here first.

On a related note. This is the second game that Jaan has been in that stalled. In the first I was able to bring him back to town under my own steam. CS kindly allocated him some experience points. At the time CS mentioned something about an idea to award XP based on 'months in play' - probably limited to where games stall. I was too busy jumping into a new game to follow the Discussion thread at the time. Was there any dicussion or resolution on this?

I'm not playing LEW as a race to level. The current game has been great fun. But it is a tad frustrating. Jaan is a month shy of year old, has been 'in game' for almost all of that time and has 800XP to his name. Character development is more than increasing bonuses. But leveling (or at least the potential to do so) does play some part in creating that sense of growth.

We might want to think of instituting some guildlines for abandoned threads. At some point, the judge should step in and end it. Perhaps after a month of no activity from the DM? Perhaps a similar rule could be institued for players. If someone disapears for a month w/o notice, the DM can have the PC sent away from the adventure.

In general, I have come to prefer these 'persistant worlds' because I feel my PCs will have longer lifespans. We've all lost plenty of PCs to dead games. Let's do our best to keep the PCs moving.
