(Discussion) General Part VII

My job in Burkina Faso is finally finished, but I am not coming back home yet. I'll take advantage of the fact I am here to visit. I am leaving tommorow morning (5am GMT). I will try to go in Cyber cafe at least twice a week, to give some news and post, but it won't be always possible.

During the next two months, I'll be travelling in Benin (2 weeks), Mali (3 weeks), France (1 week) and Belgium (2 weeks) to finally come back by the 27 of April. During that time, I may fall silent for a whole week, mainly in the desert of Mali: Dogon Country and Timbouktou, where both place I may spend around 6 days.

Rinaldo: Manzanita, well, I've already warned you when I first arrived here in Africa (yeah, you are running your game for at least 4 months now...), so I'll go back in the style of post I had when I first arrived here. If you find I am becoming too slow, NPCs Rinaldo or just leave him bargaining somewhere, I see no problem with that.

Opale: She is in no adventure, so she may well spend the two next month in the Inn. If there is an adventure that I want to join in, I'll warn the DM about my posting habits and leave him the choice to accept Oaple or not.

I have been considering my third ENWorld character lately, and I thought up of a neat idea: a blind monk. Now, in a game with friends and such, the DM and I could probably work out a system of flaws/advantages, perhaps somewhat like Unearthed Arcana (though, for the record, blindness is not listed as a flaw there, only murky vision). Or perhaps he would just take a bunch of feats as he gained levels, like blindfight, and work his way up to blindsight, like some monsters I know of. How do you think such a character (rules-wise, not roleplaying, I'm not so worried about that aspect here) would work in LEW?

I don't remember what all the Psionic Races there are, but maybe one of them has a similar ability? They're in the SRD, but I haven't seen anyone use them.

Hmm, yes the Dromite has Scent and Blind-fight as racial abilities. They also have a couple of other traits, and their ECL is +1. I suppose it's up to the judges, so perhaps I should make a proposal? About a "race", the Blind Human. Something along those lines? It would have no sight, obviously, but it would have plusses to Listen, blind-fight and scent as racial abilities, if I can find more, I'll add those. What do you think?

I think you would need to propose it formally in a seperate thread. Actual new races have been iffy here, but you might be able to sell it as a standard "blind" package.
