Just a reminder: Enkhidu, when you think that your character Malus is ready to be looked over for approval, email me and Knight Otu.

"Hopai yr'sylvesterai dana sae eassae."
Sylvan translation: May the spirits of the People bless you for eternity.

I was wondering if anyone has a website or book or something along those lines with simple dictionaries for fantasy languages. I'm sure there are dozens of variations, probably a bunch on elven. But a quick Google search gave me a (very!) small list of Sylvan words from which I pieced together that sentence. I think that, if translated literally, it says "To wish revered sylvankide bless you eternity." I'd like to have something at least coherent. Anyway, if anybody has anything of that nature, it would be nice to have! Thanks.

Wow. I spent about an hour looking through that page, 'tain't just cut 'n dry, is it? Unfortunately, the closest thing to Sylvan was Nandorin (AKA the Silvan Tongue) and it has 30 words in its lexicon. But Quenyan is catalogued in great detail, so that could be used for Elven. Which is always good to have. I guess I'll just make up sylvan words when I need 'em. :p

I was hoping my proposal for a perform: gladitorial skill (available to fighters and barbarians as a class skill) could get some quick love. I've tried not to make it overpowered.

Also, are there any cities already established where gladiator pits would be legally sanctioned and where a moderately genteel form of slavery is practiced (meaning slaves can buy their way out of slavery, some people sell themselves into it to clear debts or help their family, and there are some rights to a slave's life.) If not I can just name one of the smaller city states north of Earling (or maybe even earling itself, though the elven royalty might find such a thing distateful).

I'll put in a post in your proposal, KB. I've long yearned to play in, or DM, a gladitorial adventure. Just haven't figured out a good way to do it. I assume you have an idea in this direction, since you've introduced the feat.

well, I have a gladiator character who I'm trying to flesh out.... I can think of at least one simple plot for a gladiator adventure.... but then I'd be cranky that my own character couldn't play in it.
