Hello,

What games are currently in limbo? I was looking to get into more EN World action, and I notice there are a shortage of DMs, so I would like to run an original adventure soon, but also help out by taking over as DM for a game in limbo. So what's the deal?

Armgill's Heirloom is currently in limbo, if you can call it that. At least, Dex (the GM), hasn't been on here for more than two weeks.

It looks like The lost Gem, by gnomeworks is also stuck. Does anyone have info on that? If you want to take one over, Animus, that sounds great to me. The individual judges should probably weigh in on those. And when taking over an adventure, we try to email the DM to see if we can get a plot summary and an OK.

I don't want it to seem like a beaurocratic chore for you Animus. I appreciate your offer. I think you can understand that a certain level of beaurocracy is useful in cases such as these. Knight Otu reads this thread. I'd be interested in his feedback as well. Looking forward to your original adventures, too.

I've read the LEW docs, and so I understand the beaurocracy that's neccessary to keep things running smooth around here. What I would need though is access to the games notes, or the original plot summary so I can get a feel for where the adventure (whichever one a choose), and then adjust from there.

EDIT: BTW, I'm reading both of those threads today, as well as Of Eggs, because people have mentioned that one as being stuck. I'll probably respond later today with comments on all three.

Not sure if this is the appropriate space but the moderators seem to post here a lot, so maybe I'll get an answer quickly. I'm just wondering about how long it typically takes to get a character approved. Not that there's a huge hurry, just wondering for my current character and future ones how long I should wait before trying to draw attention to it.

Did you email the appropriate people? If you did not, you need to do that. The two character approval judges are nimisgod and Knight Otu, mentioned in the Guide to Living EN World. If you did email them, give them time, because I know at least nimisgod mentioned recently that he was busy in RL. They'll get to you, trust me ;) .

Speaking as a player in that adventure, yep, it is stuck, due to GW's real life problems. I'd really appreciate it if you want to take any of the games over, for two reasons. For one, obviously I want to continue playing Semabin, and two, I also took over two games when the GM left ENWorld (temporarily, as it turned out). I was lucky that the GM could still be contacted, so I could turn to her when I needed some advice on continuing, otherwise I wouldn't have dared to do this.

I usually keep the original adventure outlines sent to me - of course there tend to be changes in those as well.

Otu- thanks for the prompt response. I only posted that character a few hours ago, really, so I wasn't trying to say that you were lax or anything- I was just curious how long was long enough around here. :)
