On a completely unrelated note, I've got a proposal out there for four new feats (Armor Optimization feats) that's received 2 yes votes. How many does it need to become approved? I ask because the feats seem like they'll be quite useful for Kahuna Burger's Gladiator PrC.

3 positive votes are necessary for approval. 3 negative votes are an automatic veto.

Judges vote. As soon as you propose it, judges are able to vote on it. Chance are they'll recommend changes then vote, though.

utter confusion

Hi all,

I'm very new to all of this, so I'm probably being daft. That said --

what now?

I've gotten my character vetted and accepted by the judges (Sunny Perriwinkle) and I'm sitting in the Tavern.

What's the next step? Start blabbing to whomever I see there? Take it easy?

In general, are there like 100x more players than there are campaigns to fit the players into?

Can I expect to wait months to join an adventure, however simple or silly?

Looks like it varries between adventures. At the moment, there appears to be a glut of players that just showed up in the past day or two (I count 3 new ones after I posted my char, and that was this weekend)

So, untill someone comes to give us grand adventure or painfull deaths, enjoy the chit chat.

BTW, are you carrying a Large Bastard Sword (Perriwinkle, not you)? I think there was a thread in the rules section debating if you could use one the next size up if you didn't have the exotic weapon proficiency feat (because it's considered a two handed martial weapon till then). If it's approved, no biggie, just a rules curiousity.

And it was approved by the judges OK, so, no problem there.

Obviously it's quite a daft weapon for a wizard to be using, but then again, Sunny Perriwinkle is a frustrated fighter, and you know how THAT goes.

If you want, yeah. Games start at irregular intervals -- whenever someone decides to start running a game. There could be one in a week, or it could take a month.

I think there might be about 8-12 players looking for a game right now.

ok, I have a gameday next weekend, after which I will start a (hopefully) short and combat heavy adventure going undercover in the gladiator ring. so any non evil fghter types can holdout hope.
