ok, I have a gameday next weekend, after which I will start a (hopefully) short and combat heavy adventure going undercover in the gladiator ring. so any non evil fghter types can holdout hope. :p

Sunny Perriwinkle always is up for a good, well, gladatorial smackdown adventure.

Sunny thinks of himself as quite the gladiator, you see... just up his alley.

Yup, from the looks of him, it seems that he would be very good at getting smacked-down by gladiators :D

Well, not everyone can be a winner in this big world of ours... and somebody has to stick up for the losers...

That's where Sunny Perriwinkle comes in.

Plus, you might just be surprised as how things turn out...

Yup, he certainly seems like an unpredictable fellow. Almost certain not to hit, but when he does, that's quite a punch for a melee blow from a wizard!

BTW, I thought I saw a mention of sblocking the character sheets. I think its a good idea. Hide the crunch, and just have a physical description in the public forum. Cuts down on scrolling if nothing else. /2c.

This is a good idea. If you need someones stats you could always just use the search tool, or CTRL+F for their name.

Edit-zors:
So, I've began writting up the adventure. I'll need five people who are interested in solving a murder. I have two questions:
1) Should I recruit here? Or in the RDI?
2) Should I send the judges the finished game plan? Or just the outline?

I brought up sblocking, but that was just for the backgrounds and such. Non-crunch. Those get massively long and I thought it'd be nice if the Characters thread looked a little cleaner.

Lasair likes murder-mysteries :)

She can't fight if her life depends on it (and it probably does!), but she likes roleplaying challenges.

It's all in the Guide to Living EN World.[sblock]In order to start an adventure, the DM must request that the current judges in charge of adventure approval approve the adventure. Any adventure needs to submit the following information in order to be approved:

1) Who are the players: This can be a specific list or this can be a description of what kinds of characters are likely to fall in line with this adventure.
2) What is the background: Describe the setting, the people, and the motives that make this adventure.
3) What is the story: What is the story of the adventure itself? Who are the bad guys? What are they doing? How is victory achieved or defeat met?
4) What is the challenge: Specifically, what are the likely challenges the group will face? What levels of characters are expected for this adventure? What are the encounter levels of any combat that will be encountered? Will challenges be overcome through combat, stealth, skill, or diplomacy?
5) What are the rewards: What kinds of rewards are there to be found? Fame, money, magic, and experience should all be expressed here. Anything that can be a reward is important for the judges to see.[/sblock]Recruit in the RDI.

Oh, thanks, I've sent an e-mail with some of the details of the judges. Hoping it gets okayed, get might want more info so I'm working on actually writing it up.

Once the adventure is approved, you should recruit by an in-character post in the RDI, but there's nothing wrong with gauging interest here in this thread. Depending on your adventure, you can start the adventure thread as soon as you make the recruitment post, and sending people there (say, those interested first are led into a back room of the RDI), or pay out things before making the thread. You may want to look over the current, and maybe also the last, Red Dragon thread for examples.

A reasonably complete outline should be enough. We don't need to know every encounter, just possibilities of what may happen. Be sure to include the end goal. Concentrate on the main storyline, not the side treks, when writing your outline.
