Displacement and creatures larger than medium...

Displacement says that you appear to be about 2' away from your actual position. Isn't it odd that you could cast displacement on a creature that is 10' wide and an archer could aime for the middle of the creature and miss because of the concelament. Even if his shot was 2' off, he should still hit the creature. I could see criticals being affected since you could be 2' off on hitting a vital organ, but a total miss?

According to the spells description, a creature could be 100' wide and you could still miss because you were 2' off target. Hmm...
