Dividing the stats

Well, i know some people have talked about how they divide up stats like charisma into normal charisma and comeliness. And Dexterity into nimbleness and agaility. So, i was wondering, what could the other stats be divided into?

I had toyed with this a few months back and have been meaning to look at it again. The breakdown is thus...

Strength (Control Muscles)
- Attack bonus
Mass (Weight behind the blow)
- Damage bonus, Weight allowance
Reflexes (Speed)
- AC, Initiative and Save bonuses
Coordination
- Two-Weapon fighting, Skill bonuses and Missile Attack adj.
Health
- Save bonus
Toughness
- HP bonus
Reason
- Reason checks*, Max. Spell Level (wizards), Learning new spells.
Knowledge
- Skill bonuses, Additional spells (wizards).
Wisdom
- Wisdom checks*, Additional spells (clerics)
Willpower
- Save bonus, Spell Save DCs (all spellcasters)
Perception
- Skill check bonuses, Max. Spell Level (clerics)
Personality
- Skill check bonuses (diplomacy and "charisma checks")
Presence (Leadership ability and the mystical part of charisma)
- Turn undead, Intimidation and Max Spell Level (Sor).

*These checks I already use IMC to a certain extent. Reason Checks let you look at an enemy and try and figure out some of his abilities and weaknesses, solve puzzles, "figure something out", amongst other things (and they usually require at least a standard action to accomplish). Opposed Wisdom Checks allow you to predict an enemy's actions in the next round on a standard action, multiple enemies on full-round check, some RP benefits, etc.. If you want to know more about these checks, just ask.

The increased number of stats allow me to do one very neat thing for game balance - spread the spellcasting stats around so no *single* stat can be milked to the exclusion of all others. In high level and epic level play where save DC disparities can easily get out of hand, this is a good thing. Stats like Appearance (Comeliness) I feel are just too subjective even when dealing with the same species. You can have a bunch of modifiers for a variety of other species, but it's more a hassle than it's worth I'm sure.

Thoughts?

Seeing six stats turn into sixty just gives me a headache...

Why make it more complicated? With Charisma/Comliness, there is some sense to it - there seems to be little reason to separate anything else out.

I always loved how in the old system Harn I could roll up my Taste stat along side my strength and toughness.

Just call me Johnny Wonder-Tongue!

Well, i thought of dividing up Wisdom into Intuition, and common sense. As well as have Belief and Willpower. So you coud be someone with almost no common sense, but still have a strong will and belief very strongly in what you believe in.

In my experience- with the Player's Option rules (2.8e)- dividing the stats will inevitably lead to more min-maxing behavior. It's also more trouble than it's worth. I recommend against it.

I disagree. There is no sense to comeliness as a stat. It is entirely subjective, not only by race/culture but by individual. In addition, it either gives bonuses to things that Charisma already does, thus weakening Cha and making a bard's life more difficult, or it does nothing and thus shouldn't exist as a stat at all.
