Divine power and big things

T's T now works he same as Divine Power, replacing BAB rather than adding a bonus to it. The two no longer stack to let clerics with Miracles have higher BAB than equal levelled fighters.

For casters with more than 20 hit dice I would recommend having Divine Power set the character's BAB to that of a fighter with equal hit dice (i.e. 20 + (1/2 level - 20)). That seems to follow the intent of the spell better.

And even better, is to cap the effective fighter level to be no more than the caster level of the spell.

So a Wizard(55)/Cleric(5) isn't going to get much out of the spell, but a Cleric(55)/Wizard(5) will.

And vice versa with TT.

They say your BAB equals your Hit Dice for several reasons. The first is that they want to give you the same BAB of a Fighter of your level, and as a result, characters with levels of something other than Cleric (such as the Wizard/Cleric combination mentioned earlier) would thus be able to get a good benefit. The didn't restrict it to Caster Level, however, because this would lead to much more abuse as well (such as the Cleric with the Strand of Prayer Beads and several Orange Ioun Stones with a Caster Level of 6 or 7 higher than his Cleric level). So they decided to make it simple and have your BAB equal your HD.

I agree, tying it to caster level is much easier to abuse than tying it to character level.

Ultimagabe: When they pass 20th level, fighters no longer have BAB = HD. That's why I suggested the change above, to ensure that epic clerics don't actually get higher BABs then epic fighters that are higher level.
