DM thanks

A hearty "Thanks!" is all I ask for. Well, the tone is optional (hard to be hearty when I've just killed your character, after all), but it's only polite to thank the DM for his work. I also thank them every session for coming to the game.

I must admit to occasional inward grumbling that no-one notices all the money I've spent on miniatures and rule-books; only one of my players has ever contributed to that side of the game. At the end of the day though, no-one puts a gun to my head to buy that stuff, and it's not as if I don't get anything out of it myself.

I never thought about it, but I don't think I've ever once had a player thank me. Sometimes they'll say, "It must be a lot of work to run a game for people". That's about it. I've probably had a couple of compliments about being a pretty good DM.

I've never had anyone give me a gift either. I've given a few gifts to players though :p

Every March 4th my group strips down and wrestles each other doused in olive oil for my amusement.

From my group I'd say that TarionzCousin would be the prohibitive favorite... and by favorite I mean, most likely to make you want to burn your eyes out with Acid for watching. ;)

Almost every Christmas and sometimes on my birthday/GM's Day, they get me a gaming book that they know I'll enjoy. I've been very fortunate to have gamed with a great crew, and I look forward to many more years of great gaming!

Thanks, Guys,
Flynn

In the traditional fashion.

By questioning his every ruling, complaining the encounters are too hard, the treasure is too little, building the most broken character build possible, and avoiding his plot hooks like the plague.

QFT ;)

Still game with a couple of the guys I used to game with 15 years ago. In the olden days no-one thanked anyone. Players or GM. Nowadays, I guess we're more mature, and we always thank one another. And just started a new group in a new town and we thank one another as well. I guess we all realise that the game is a group effort and appreciate the effort put in by others. I certainly do.
Thanks guys if you're reading.

My Vancouver group got me bunches of stuff over the years. Cards, a 3.5 PHB, a set of Tact-Tiles, a backpack... They're good folks.
