DMG 2: yay or nay

Is the DMG 2 worth buying?

I saw it today on the shelf at Barnes and Noble and hadnt really previously looked at it. There seemed to be some pretty nifty information in it but the $40 pricetag was far too high for me to just buy it on the spot.

I read the review for it and the author spoke highly of it but that $40 tag is still pretty hefty. It has nifty things but I'm not sure that it's worth it as a whole.

Any thoughts?

I'd say, "Yea." For anyone interested I'd suggest takeing a good look at it at your FLGS and see if you think, at the least, you could utilize Saltmarsh. Then take a look over The Campaign section and Designing a Prestige Class sub-section under the Characters section. If you don't think having that material at your disposal could save you six or more hours, or you don't value your time at, at least, $7.50 per hour, then maybe I'm wrong and it isn't for you. But I'd guess it really is.

I've had a look, and I'm "meh" about it, and would be even if I was running 3.5 right now. If I can pick it up on ebay for around $20 shipping included, then I'll probably spring for it.
