I'm really not sure...

I'll wait and see what the people who game in roughly the same styles as myself have to say about it.

ie: I'm looking at you Mr Noah and Mr PirateCatInTheHat.

I am probably going to get it a I like 'prep reducing" material -- Heck my favorite PDF purchase was "And Everyone Else" so I am shoe in

I'm glad you like Everyone Else. The reason we published it is because I got a copy of the manuscript from the authors, printed it out and stuck it in my DM Folder. Well... that folder is long gone, but the printout of Everyone Else remains, now tattered and dog-eared with little notes in the margins and VERY well worn. That's why we published it.

Wow. . . when one thinks of it like that, we all have a rediculous amount of ruleage at our fingertips, most of which, will never see the light of gameplay. . .sigh. Fun to read though!

Oh! Don't get me wrong. I love to read D&D books. I'm just to the point where more rules are starting to become static in the system. I hadn't really even thought about it until I was trying to explain the amount of PrCs, feats, etc. that's available to my newer players. Then, I suddenly understood the deer-in-the-headlights look I kept getting.

What I want now are good, solid toolkits that will reduce the time and effort I need to put into my game (a homebrew, none-the-less) to keep it afloat. The DMG2 looks to fit that bill nicely.

Anyone who can sell me a good tutorial on how to keep my setting organized, make sure I don't lose table notes, develop campaign handouts, and/or really suck in the players has another sale to me. I've been DMing for over 20 years, and I've learned some tricks, but there's always room for improvement. Plus, I've found that having the guidelines right in front of me helps greatly as my left brain and right brain don't seem to be capable of being on at the same time.

Anybody know the release date?

Based on some web-searching I did last month for HoB and CoR, it appears to be 06/10. I could be wrong, though.

I may or may not get it. I'm not a DM, so I don't actually need it. However, it has more items in it, which is nice.

Jump me in for this. I'm a straight sucker for "collections of stuff to reference that I don't have to stat out myself." It's probably part of why I own so many monsterbooks....and just bought another one! :)
