As a follow up to this thread:

Five months later, D&D still holds the top three spots in Fantasy Gaming at Amazon, and seven of the top ten.

The three core rule books also remain in the top 100 of the overall Amazon ranking:

DMG: #50 (and #6 on Hot New Releases)
PHB: #54
MM: #99

The Starter Set is at #434 in Amazon's overall ranking. That might seem low, but compares well to other RPG products, which are lucky to be in the top 1000. (there is more data in the older thread).

I am not finding any DnD books in the overall top 100... where are you guys finding them?

Looks like they've just recently slipped out of the top 100 (the PHB and DMG were there last I checked, which was 2 weeks ago...) Anyway, you can see the sales rank on each product page (not available in their mobile app that I could find, had to go to the actual website):

* Player's Handbook: #109 in books, #2 in books->Science Fiction & Fantasy->Gaming, #12 in books->teens

* DMG: #154 in books, #3 in books->Science Fiction & Fantasy->Gaming, #20 in books->teens

* MM: #266 in books, #4 in books->Science Fiction & Fantasy->Gaming, #37 in books->teens

I have no plans to purchase 4th or 5th edition, since I have so many of the pre-Pathfinder editions that I am happy where I am at. So what I am reporting I say without bias.

I was asking my local comic book/RPG store owner about how he saw 5E sales. According to him, he had trouble selling 4th edition, but he can't keep 5th edition books on the shelves and is continuously making orders to stock back up. Sounds like a nice problem to have.
