DMG2 just keeps looking better and better, this article covers encounters as story, which is interesting because of the 10+ page Storytelling vs. Roleplaying thread.

For a long time that concept seemed an integral part of the game. Back in the day when you rolled a character and hoped it survived the first encounter, much less first level. It seems they have gone to the other extreme.
I'm hoping this dmg will cover a lot of concepts from previous editions that have fell by the wayside.

Not bad. Important information for running a solid encounter that is even "background noise" for a lot of experienced DM's. Reading this will probably help me pay more attention to designing my encounters, which is the goal, so it meets it quite well.

Yeah, solid. Good job, WotC. ;)

Still not WOW'd by the DMGII, but it's looking good as a "how to play D&D" textbook. ;)

Lovely artwork this time, too. Stuff is looking kind of less cartoony, which is a good direction IMO.
