Actually I prefer fall.
:)

Even if I do normally get melancholic for a couple weeks each fall, the weather, the leaves and the atmosphere all combine to make fall my favorite season.

fall is my second favorite season. maybe i should modify my position. i wish that summer time was like fall and the rest of the year was winter.

fall is actually pretty cool, all kidding aside. football season, halloween, baseball playoffs.....

Fresh NY cider... mmmm..

Count me as a Winter person with a little Fall thrown in to spice me up.

Perhaps it is a Northeast thing...

I hear that. Autumn is my favorite season as well. It's about the only time I miss the Michigan climate. Not a lot of color changing in palm trees.

Weather...weather...ah, I remember weather. It's been about 70 degrees since March, each and every day. I got a call from the Weather Channel asking my opinion a couple months ago. They wanted to know how often I watched their programs. I had to explain that I live in San Diego, and that we _don't_ have weather.

PS Wouldn't the humidity from the storm make things worse?

As a fellow San Diego wandering monster, I can confirm what Sigma said above. Except for a few days the May Gray and June Gloom were most noticable for their absence. Hell, the local municipalities are planning on opening up their "cool zones" early this year. (Cool zone. A place where the elderly can gather to keep cool in hot weather.) In the last couple of weeks brush fire advisories are making the news, and the D (drought) word is being banded about. Fortunately, the winds are from off the ocean, so relative humidity has yet to fall low enough to make a real big brush fire possible.

Factoid: The city of San Diego, California is, in terms of latitude, south of Oran in Algeria. Firmly in the desert latitudes. Were it not for the Pacific Ocean we'd be a lot drier.
