D&D 5E DnDBeyond leaks Dark Sun?

On a serious note, imagine one of the OneD&D playtest packets that get released during 2023 was ANOTHER Psionics UA.
If WotC have any real sense, they won't do that, they'll design psionics and test it internally (I know they have a ton of NDA'd up testers, they must), and then say "this is going in, here's what we want you to test" rather than going "Yo people who hate psionics and don't want it in the game, how should psionics work"? Which is like asking Snarf how Bards should work or something (<3 u Snarf lol)

I would only do a late stage open test to see if there are glaring issues or if something is utterly wrong but it should mostly be done in the house till they have it at least 90% ready.

That's a good point. This playtest is going to go out to Everyone with a capital-E, and there is a large number of people who don't want a new edition at all, for any reason, and they will be downvoting things across the board without even testing them. Since it's obvious that this new Edition* is going to happen regardless of popular opinion, I'm curious how they manage to filter those "Do Not Want!" survey responses out, to keep them from spoiling the useful data.

*Don't call it a new Edition.

OH MY GOD we need some proper Japanese anime artist who is also a huge D&D nerd to do all the D&D editions (preferably including BECMI and so on) as anime girls, like they did with operating systems, or nations in World War 2, or the like lol.
Even speaking as someone who burned out on manga and anime in the 90s, the covers of the Japanese release of B/X are kind of fantastic:

That’s assuming a lot. That everyone who cares will be involved (they won’t), that this is a proper playtest (it isn’t), and that WotC actually cares about feedback (they very likely don’t). They will filter out “bad” info the same way they have since D&D Next. WotC has a design in mind that they like, they put it out for “playtest” and the options are: 1) people like it so it’s tweaked and moves ahead, or; 2) people don’t like it and it’s left behind. The one time there was anything like actual revisions was the psionics UA, which was ultimately stripped for parts.

Yes, it's a thumbs up or thumbs down veto test. UA always has been. They really wanted the Mystic to work out, in retrospect, but they couldn't make fetch happen.

That's an interesting question. I think a big issue with the feedback WotC has gathered on the psionics playtests is that there is a sizable group that doesn't use psionics and will never adopt them in any form, but still respond in order to survey crap.
