D&D 5E DnDBeyond leaks Dark Sun?

What if with the new D&D One we can playtest a lot more, and the feedback is faster? Then there is more freedom to try new ideas, for example the vestiges pact magic, the (ki) martial maneuvers or the incarnum soulmelds to "customize" summoned monster allies.

We can see "crunch" of DS but set in Fyreen, because this "spiritual spin-off" allows more creative freedom to add new elements, for example new PC races. But before showing the lore WotC needs a plan for the developing of the possible metaplot for the next years. Something like the phases of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now it is only the corebook of the setting.

Dunno about either or. I’d like to know how you got to that conclusion.
Doomspace is pretty clearly Athas with the serial numbers filed off. My assumption is that it was going to be Athas initially, but something happened (Plans for a future Dark Sun book?) and it became totally-not-Athas, late enough into development that we've seen a few of its fragments (This, plus the one map with it labelled as Athas)

also, plus the number of Dark Sun critters, and Thri Kreen (THE Dark Sun race, sorry half giants) being included in

But even if DS returns in the next year or after, we shouldn't hope the original metaplot to be continued.
God, let's hope not. Metaplot sucks. It amounts to getting stuck reading about a designer's vision of a campaign in all future related materials, instead of actually running what you want. I mean seriously, DS launched, and IMMEDIATELY they did many of the most important and impactful things your pcs could want to do... in the novels. Which all further DS material treated as if it happened in every single home game, so screw you guys who actually want to PLAY in this setting and deal with its biggest villains themselves.

NO. Keep your metaplot 100% away from my game. That is the single most likely thing to make me stop purchasing material. It did it for the old World of Darkness, it largely did it for 2e for me, just no. No metaplot at all.

I think if it was plans for a dark sun book, the change wouldn’t have been late in development. That’s something they would have had plenty of advance warning on. I think the most likely explanation is that Athaspace was poorly received by their private playtesters. Understandably so, since the book has not-Athas on a short path to total destruction.

On a serious note, imagine one of the OneD&D playtest packets that get released during 2023 was ANOTHER Psionics UA.
The ODD playtest removes psionic from the power sources.

ODD only supplies spell lists for Arcane, Divine, and Primal.

On the other hand, the power sources in ODD are redundant, often with the same spells on different power sources. So, strictly speaking, they could introduce a psionic spell list, making things super redundant.

Separately, they could define "psionic" as an innate spellcasting method, which it already is Monster Manual and Tashas. But an ODD version could formally list the benefits of casting psionically, including no spell component, especially not a material component, and what to do about spells that have a gp component.

The ODD playtest material does not use the term "power sources". It divides the spell lists into Arcane, Divine and Primal, replacing class lists. It would be easy to add a Psionic spell list.

I watched the Nerd Immersion youtube. He explained well, the context of DnDBeyond reference.

It seems to me. 5e originally intended for Spelljammer to have Athasspace, namely a "cameo" of Dark Sun. DnDBeyond already had Dark Sun setting content encoded into its databases. 5e nixed Dark Sun and changed Athaspace to Doomspace and the planet of Athas to Fyreen. So, DnDBeyond changed all of the Dark Sun references in its databases to Doomspace references instead. But by mistake, when changing the name from "Athasian Dune Trader" to "Astral Drifter", forgot to change the warning message that happened to mention it.

We all already deduced this. But. The planet Fyreen is originally Athas, and Doomspace is Dark Sun.

There are no more plans for Dark Sun.

The 5e Players Handbook only has two "kinds" of magic, Arcane and Divine.

In an informal context since then, designers have mentioned the phrase, "power sources", specifically referring to Arcane, Divine, Primal, Psionic, and "others".

The 1DD playtest makes a point to now introduce "Primal" alongside "Arcane" and "Divine", but omits "Psionic".

It seems obvious, the current plans for 2024 core lack Psionic.
