Level Up (A5E) Do abilities that affect carrying capacity affect supply capacity?

If I have an ability that doubles my carrying capacity, does that also double the amount of supplies I can hold?

Does the answer change if I use "Desperate Supplies" (which seems to use weight instead of supply slots)

Can't you just choose to carry extra supply as raw weight?
