Pathfinder 1E Do damage auras stack in Pathfinder?

It's a bit maddening, but after extensive searches in the books, the wikis and the forums I cannot find any clear answer on whether multiple damage auras stack in this game.

Last night, my game saw the party face off against multiple burning skeletons. One character began her turn with two of them adjacent. Burning skeletons have a "Fiery Aura" power that inflicts a d6 of damage to characters who begin adjacent to them. So should this character have taken 2d6 damage at the start of her turn?

We assumed so, but it does not seem to be spelled out anywhere.

Think of it this way: does damage stack? If a character is facing off against two Wizards, and both toss Fireballs at him in the same round, does he take damage from both? If he's attacking two Red Dragons and both breathe on him, does he take damage from both?

Basically, unless the description of the ability itself says it doesn't stack with other applications of itself (and, to be sure, a few- mostly spells- don't), then damage always stacks.
