Do Druids Retain Buffs in Wildshape?

I always imagined that LA spell creates actual armor on a caster. So, I would think it would break apart once druid changes into, say, bear, which is large and has different body. Normal buffs do persist, though, but this spell shouldn't IMHO.
But there is a way around it. Natural spell. You can bear yourself, and create luminous barding for bears on yourself. You are still humanoid, so it is okay by RAW, although it is a bit of bend/stretch of rules.

Thanks all!

This particular player is very shifty and crafty. Really, he should be playing a rogue.

He purchased a Rod of Bodily Restoration, so now he just keeps LA active at all times. Additionally, he has a feat that enables him to cast while in Wild Shape, so his most recent tactic is to fly 160 ft above the enemy while casting flame-strike repeatedly.

What kind of challenges would you throw at his character???

A Sorcerer with Greater Invisibility. Mr. Druid doesn't have access to See Invisibility, and True Seeing has a limited range. Add in, oh, Dimension Door and Magic Missile, and Mr. Druid has a big headache of 'plink, plink, plink' through his health.
