Do Warforged Components Ignore Prerequisites?

A player of mine wants to be a warforged artificer and wanted to know if he could take Adamantine Plating, as its designed for warforged but is listed as Plate under armor. So do warforged components ignore prerequisites of armor and weapon proficiency?

Well, he can get the component I suppose, but he'd suffer the normal penalties for lack of proficiency.
