Do We Need any more d20 books?

On d20 Modern and d20 Future... to be honest, I don't think they're as vital as regular d20. Just my take.

As far as the Capsystem... yeah, a Merchant order would be good. I remember that Atlas was thinking of doing something along these lines in their hardcover format that involved Crime & Punishment and Love and War.

Speaking of Crime... I wouldn't mind seeing a resource on prisons that went from low magic sword and sorcery to high magic with anti-magic walls and null fields.

Well, I'm trying to send publishers the message that what I will BUY is adventures. Some sourcebooks occasionally sneak in there, but thankfully only a few. My short view is that modules grow the market whereas sourcebooks exploit the market. So, to stay on topic, I need more d20 adventures. I might get more excited about d20 Modern, Future, Past, etc. if there were more modules for me to play those games. I have enough D&D adventures to keep me going for a LONG time as it is.

Frankly, if WotC produced a nice looking hardcover titled 'The Complete Guide to playing Gnome Rangers in Eberron' I would probably buy it. And no, I don't play any of those.

Isn't this an oxymoron? Aren't you contradicting yourself? This is the exact same thing I hear from other people. I want more adventures, but I have enough D&D adventures to keep me going for a LONG time as it is.

As you say, Adventures grow the market, but it is this attitude that prevents publishers from publishing the adventures you want to buy. If you really want new adventures, then you need to change your attitude on adventures themselves.

We have no book on merchants, marketing or economoics.
Yep, that's pretty much the last and only thing I "need" for d20 rules (ignoring the pedantry that was spewed in this thread).

However, I have been told many times, in no uncertain terms, that this type of product "won't sell".

So, my actual answer is nope - I have little interest in any more d20 rules. And my buying habits back that up. (I only purchase Necromancer Games adventures [but not their campaign setting or rules stuff], Dungeon Magazine, and FR geographical accessories - I have yet to see Nimbral, Lantan, and Sossal.)
