Do we still need this forum?

Most publishers have their own forums these days, so I'm wondering whether this "general" publishers' forum is still necessary. Also, Mortality have a publisher's forum and also host various forums for different publishers.

Is it time to close this forum? If you'd let me know your opinions, that'd be great. I'm fairly ambivalent one way or t'other.

I would like to see this forum continue on your boards, Morrus, as the "one stop shopping" place to get d20 publisher's news. Sure a lot of them have their own boards, but having a central repository, as it were, makes getting the news easier. Just my two cents.

I check this forum several times a day.

As a user, I just wouldn't be bothered to go out to all the various publishers' forums individually.

I know, that's lazy, but that's the truth. If I can't find them here, it's just not worth my trouble to go looking for them. I'd just as soon be ignorant of their releases. Just to pick a random name out of a hat-- AEG-- they don't stop in here very often, and consequently I have no info (and no interest) about what they're up to.

On the other hand it's not Morrus' responsibility to provide a single forum for all the publishers, but it is nice to have from where I'm sitting.

From a publisher's standpoint it is nice to have a focal point to find lazy consumers (like me).

I agree. Plus, it still gets pretty decent traffic, right? If it wasn't worth having it would be a lot more dead around here.

I implore you to keep this forum! Not only does it centralize all the publishers in one area but allows budding writers/developers/artists to ask the publishers questions and ask for information. I look here instead of going to the all the other sites of the publishers for new material and work. I would never have gone to Mongoose's page to see that Judge dredd is coming out but was glad to see it posted here.


I encourage publishers to voice their opinion on this and even though they may have their own page and BulletinBoard to still post here when new material is coming out, questions need to be answered and relevant news comes out.

I recommend keeping this forum. It is a convenient place for me to go to find out about a lot of d20 games at once. I come here everytime I check out these messageboards.

I think these boards do a great job. I mean EN is the premier D20 site and this board gives us amateur 'news hounds' an opportunuity to shop for some juicy bits (how much of a pain if I had to got to 100+ (easy) publishes sites to get the goss)?

You must be doing something right Morrus, the publishers keep posting here.

I check this forum regularly, unlike the other publisher ones. So please keep it. Several companies cross-post anyway.

It's just easier to stop by this forum instead of checking all the publisher's personal forums. I suggest keeping this.
