Yes, I definitely think it's time to throw a blanket over this one and move on to threads that can still be saved. Once last thing. I agree there is a certain elegance to what you're proposing, and that it is fun from time to time to look under the hood. Forgive me if I sucked the joy out of that harmless past-time. :D

As to the subject of the original thread all I know is that my biggest current challenge as a DM is keeping the Dwarven Fighter with Whirlwind in check. Maybe I should just kill him off and make him restart as a commoner.

Is it absurd to ask what a fighter is ? (So far, I'm stuck with the hamster.)
