I may be joining a 4e game soon, so I just bought a 1 month subscription, to get hold of the old Character Builder before it goes away.

I'll poke around a bit, see what's there, but if that 4e game doesn't take off, I expect I'll cancel my subscription.

I have a recurring 3-month subscription. It's a good balance of the fact that I like it, but have some hesitancy about it. I don't mind paying for it, as I think it's a fairly valuable service, and I get some good content too, while saving me an excessive amount of money buying junk like Adventurer's Vaults ad-nauseam.

Yes, and likely will continue to subscribe as long as I play D&D with any regularity. I have however stopped buying books since PHB3 in March.

I did have a subscription, but I let it lapse a couple of weeks ago, due to us taking a break from D&D to focus on Call of Cthulhu.

When we get going with D&D again, I'll resub.

I have one, but I'm likely going to let it expire. $70 is just far too much for the amount of use I get out of it. There has been talk amongst my group of possibly pooling money for an account that the group would share.

One reason I put up this poll is a reference I saw to the number of people who are part of the DDI subscriber group: 41700 and some change.

Whoops! Browser Settings Incompatible

To the extent that this reflects the number of people who do subscribe, that does not seem like a huge number. Probably in line with past Dragon subsriptions, a big number for any other rpg, and--it could--mean ~ 3 mil $ a year in revenue (ok, I guess that is pretty good, though if it includes a lot of one and dones then the amount will be far less) but not so great given that hundreds of thousands of people are supposed to be playing 4E.
