Agreed on the first point. The every-few-months subscribers showed that there are people that *want* to spend $20-30/year on just the CB. It could be a better business approach to let those people spend $20-30/year and let the people who want to buy everything buy everything.

I think it is a wonderful resource although I am very nervous about their silverlight changes. It might be okay but they might royally screw it up...


If they do screw it up, I'll make do with the downloaded versions of things and cancel my subscription. I prefer not to though; I don't mind supporting a business that supports my own hobby.

I was a 'charter'/core subscriber. It lapses this month and until I hear some real good things about the new version, I'm done with it.

Nope. I pour more money into WotC (DDI is what, $10 per month? and ENworld is $6 per month).
