Do you follow any PbP games?

I used to follow several when I first started getting into PBeM's. Mainly to get an idea of how I wanted to run mine. Now I DM a PBeM and play in one. Those two keep me busy enough, so I no longer lurk any PBeMs.

Back when there were only a few, I sometimes hopped over and looked at the Non-Iconics... .
ahhh... the old days. ;)

It's amazing how many there are now, compared to so few back then.
I seem to remember at least a few people following the Non-Iconic Game, and many following Piratecat's seminal Iconic Adventure.
I never read much of PbP games I wasn't in - just peeked in to see the style, and mapping/combat style.

No, but perhaps I should, so I can learn the ropes, if my face to face group attendance keeps its current pace. :(

I must be different (I generally don't look at Story Hours that much), but I'm a huge PbP lurker. I believe I'm presently lurk-reading three games, and I used to lurk two games which are now on hiatus. I generally prefer reading logs because you can see a game develop, and nothing gets glossed over.

Yeah... doesn't it make you feel old? ;)

Well, let's see... back when I started the Psionicle, there was our game, the Non-Iconics, and the Iconics.

I think there was one other one... the coils one... I can't remember who ran that, though. But I remember thinking that it was a very strange game, all in all...

So, reaper, did you ever take a peek at the Psionicle?

Boy, I don't have a week spare to read it all.
;)

It strikes me as being an impressive body of work. You should all be proud of your efforts.
Give me a brief synopsis - is it the original members? Are you still going?

I know what you mean...

It is an impressive mass of posts, that's for certain, and I know that - I for one - am proud of how far the group has gotten.

As for group members... we've had more people in and out than there are players in most other games, at this point. :)

Of the four people in it right now (one is currently off on their own), two are original members.

Are we still going... it's stalling right now, sadly. :( The side-adventure for the one character is still going, though it's a bit slow at times. I'm currently trying to revive the main game by introducing a new player or two... so if you have the time and are interested, hop on over to the recruitment thread in the Talking the Talk forum... ;)

My f-t-f group doesn't have attendance problems, but it does tend more toward beer-and-pretzel gaming. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I really enjoy getting into character and immersing myself in the game. Since I've started my PbP game, I've come to enjoy it more than my face-to-face game.
