Do you give out psionic treasure?

Just something I've been curious about. I've played psions in several campaigns before, but compared to the mages, I didn't do very well -- on account of they were wallowing in scrolls and wands and staves other magic-enhancing items, while I had nothing to enhance my psionics. I've had my GM tell me that "psionic items are hard to find" or "psionics itself is rare in this world," which both more or less lead to the same thing. And then of course there was "you are the only psion in the entire world" -- lack of helpful equipment has actually been the barrier against me wanting to play a psion ever again.

Anyway, just a question out of curiosity. For those of you who do use psionics in your game, do you give out psionic treasure and make psionic items accessible?

My players don't tend to play psions, but the few times I have not GMed, I often play them (Rystil Arden is my telepath PC). As long as the GM lets me get the psionic items I really want (Cognizance Crystals and Psionatrices, and the Torc of Power Preservation) for trade or sale or somewhere, I don't mind all of the usual treasure being magic. I can still use most of it, and my own powers are enough for me.

When I DM, I look through the XPH to see if there's anything that might serve useful, but if there's no Psion in the game, I don't really worry about it. I roll to see if any items are psionic, though.

I let players buy items from the book, no problem.

I think some GMs don't like Psionics because they think it should be different from Magic (a la the Psionics is Different variant), and it ends up not meshing very well.

No psionics for me and my group. Were I to do it, however, i'd do it where psioncs were common to avoid just the problems you're talking about.

i don't give out anything.

the players earn loot thru good play.... they kill things and take their stuff. :D

I'm of the camp that doesn't see psionics as remotely science fiction. More of an eastern/exotic/planar thing for me. Some of the power names are based in real world parapsychology, but I can ignore that.

To the original poster, I personally haven't had many 3.5 psionic characters in my games, but I'll definitely make sure to include psionic loot when I do.

I've handed out psionic items in my games, almost always after the party has dealt with some psionic foes.

A lair of goblins being lead by a small clique of Blues? Gonna be some psionic treasure there.

Stop a mind-flayer? He probably has a few psionic items on his person.

Generally, psionic items in my game exist and are in circulation, but are mostly found among psionic beings (which I use moderately often, maybe one out of every 5 or so adventures).
