Do YOU have "personal" dice?

I have only one special D20 that I will always use, though I still have two others. I will lend the other dice, but not my special D20.
This D20 is, not in any way special. He rolls 1s and 20s (and the in-betweens) as often as any other D20, I think. (and sometimes he betrays may by rolling low numbers on important saving throws, but sometimes he makes up for it by rolling high numbers on important attack rolls).
When I play other games besides D20 System (it doesn`t happen so often, but this might change), I have no special die, though I prefer those who look best.
I usually prefer to give the ugly ones to others, or those that don`t fit with the other dice (different types/colors)

Evil dice? Me too

I'm the DM for Wyn's group most of the time, and I fell into the 'hey, let's all share dice' trap. Until the PCs were about 7th level, I used whatever dice were closest at hand, and I was the master of the critical miss.

Color me a convert to the don't ever touch my dice school. Since I bought a Viletm Taintedtm red-and-black DMs d20. Since then, I've been rolling like mad, including this sequence from last game: 18, 16, 20 (threat), 19 (confirm); 17, 19 (threat) 12 (does not confirm), 20 (threat), 20 (confirm). That's right - 16 or better on 8 of 9 rolls.

Now, no one touches that die. DMs, listen - I thought it was a bunch of hoodoo too, but now I buh-lee-yuhve! Once I was blie-yund, but now ah see! NO ONE TOUCHES MY DIE!

Sorry. Got a bit carried away there.

I have some dice sets that were gifts from my wife or other friends that I don't usually share. Not because I fear that their luck will be tainted, but more because they were gifts and are special for that reason.

Other than that, our group shares fairly freely when someone needs lots of dice for a fireball or similar.

I have a set of dice from the early 80's (blue crystal...the ones ya had to color with an ink pen or crayon) that I still use. No one else is allowed to use them.

I was just wondering if anyone else was like me, and had a set of dice that no one else was allowed to touch, and had another specifically for others to use if they need? I've noticed a few others do it, I was just wondering if anyone else was as anal as me about it (Touch my dice, yer liable to lose an arm). So? What about YOUR dice?
I've only met two or three gamers who DIDN'T feel this way.

Yep. I don't like people using my dice. I don't believe that they jinx them (never fell into that mindset, although my players often do). I just don't feel right with other people rolling my dice.

*Shrugs*

Private dice? Oh yeah.

I don't even let my dice play other games. :) I've got a set for DMing, a set for playing D&D, one for Chez Geek (a card/dice game), one for my Warhammer 40k Harlequin army, one for my WH40k Tau army, one for my Eldar BFG army, one for GURPS, one for Star Trek RPG, an two abandoned sets for use with the old Mage Knight stuff (which is also abandoned), a set for my Necromunda gang, and several sets devoted to the old WH Epic line.

I'm sure there's more, but I can't remember them now. Also, I don't loan them out usually. You'll get bad funk doing that. Man, I gotta bunch of dice!

Yes I do :D
I have a set I use as a player which includes a Giant (baseball size) D20 for attacks and saves etcand a seperate d20 for inititiave (it hates me though).
I have another couple sets which I only use for DMing.
Then I also have a huge bag O dice for anyone to use if they want.
Just don't touch mine.
I also train my dice while playing by keeping them on the highest numbers.

I have a set of red dice inked with yellow crayon from my Basic Set of oh, so many years ago. Nobody is allowed to use these dice except me and I pull them out only for the most crucial rolls (the other DM in our group hates these dice, when I once needed a pair of natural 20s in a row or kiss my character goodbye, I used my red die of doom and got it). As a rule I rarely use them as a DM. I just don't think its fair to the players (unless they are really pissing me off :D ).
