D&D (2024) Do you plan to adopt D&D5.5One2024Redux?

Plan to adopt the new core rules?

I can't help but notice your example has the "compromise" as the gm completely lifting the restriction on a binary yes/no. That's capitulation not compromise.
It was a compromise. Feature Y didn't work and got changed to Z in order for the player to play the PC he wanted. The player got the better deal, but didn't get everything he wanted, so it was a compromise.

Wow! Small sample size and it’s ENWorld where we skew more grognard, but those percentages are way closer than I expected. I expected “plan to adopt 2024 rules” would be the vast majority.
I didn't. This is pretty much what I expected since WotC shot themselves in the foot by attempting to adhere to their backwards compatibility statement. That meant the changes couldn't be very significant and many people aren't going to want to spend the money to rebuy the three core books when the ones they have will continue to work. I say pretty much what I expected, because I did think it would stay closer to 2/3 vs. 1/3.

Anyone want to tag Mike Shea (on phone and can’t find his handle) to ask if he’d like to pose this question to even more folks?
It matches with the previous polls people have done: however, I don't expect this sample is representative of anything, and they haven't even begun marketing the books in earnest. Once there is a book cover and some art spreads going around, we'll see where it lands. I think the books will sell fine.

In all fairness there’s probably a significant number of no votes that don’t currently or haven’t ever played 5e.

I suspect you’d see closer to 2/3 if only those regularly playing 5e were polled.

no idea, the polls for HAT were representative, the question is how much does it skew negative because of people who do not play 5e to begin with

people here certainly know about it, not sure how much difference a few pages with art will make.

Maybe we should repeat this poll in August ;)

I think the booms will sell fine.
if 50% buy them, they sell fine already
