Do you read gaming fiction?

D'oh! I forgot the utterly horrible Rose Estes books I read back in the day. How could I have left those off, as they single-handedly probably destroyed the concept of game fiction for me? Man, those were bad.

Another vote for the Warhammer and Warhammer 40k books. Some are tough to get through but others are great. Dan Abnett writes a good book so does William King. Gotrek and Felix are an absolute riot to read and get more sophisticated as you progress through the series. I think the descriptions of their travels into the dwarven strongholds of karak eight peaks, and the other in the chaos wastes (its name escapes me and my books are all packed) rival Moria. I have read some FR including most of Salvatore's and to be honest the worst warhammer book was better than all of them.

I agree. I tried to read The Lone Drow but couldn't make it through, while most of the Warhammer or WH40K novels were much better reading.
