Do you think Vin Diesel knows about ENWorld?

I'm pretty sure when ENWorld first started as a 3.0 rumors site, Vin Diesel stood straight up and was bathed in a warm glow of light. He levitated briefly spinning around in a slow circle while a low hum filled the room. He touched lightly back to the ground and said in a deep whisper, "The rules. They're ... changing. I can feel it."

Then he got down to the buisness of converting his witchunter and realized he was totally gonna get nerfed.

I don't know if I agree with the idea that Stars always want to keep their identities secret.

A brief list of some of the folks that I've run into online and participated in conversations with: Weird Al Yankovic, Bermuda (Al's Drummer), Wil Wheaton, Douglas Adams, John Lillee (Lord Egan, head of the First Church of Satan), Carol Decker (lead singer of T'Pau), Meredith Brooks (of The Graces and "B*tch" fame), Keith R.A. DeCandido (of DC Comics fame), J. Michael Straczynski (of Babylon 5 fame), Kevin Smith (of Clerks fame), Dave Grohl (of Nirvana and Foo Fighters fame), Steve Balmer (of Microsoft infamy), The Woz (of Apple fame), one of the members of N'Sync (can't remember which one at the moment), and one of the women from the five people who were the REAL Milli Vanilli. And, of course, all the fine folks here, including Monte Cook and the infamous Henry. ;) And those are just off the top of my head.

The point is, these people are really just people. It sticks with me that I spoke with them, as opposed to Joe Anonymous, because I know something else they did to identify them with, but that still didn't stop me from telling Balmer that what he was saying about Linux was either deliberately misleading or not well informed. They all put on their pants the same way we do. If Vin Diesel IS on here, I hope he's enjoying the site as much as I am, but other than that it might be casually nice to know, I don't really give a rip. :D

I think the most annoying thing about being famous would be the people who DON'T treat you like this. Having fanboys would majorly piss me off. I shudder with horror at the thought of people having so little to do that they bother following my antics on ET or some stupid show like that. Of course, I don't foresee any freak occurence throwing me into stardom, so I don't really have to worry about this.

Who wants to step forward as the sweaty, overweight, pimple-faced geek who told Lexa Doig she was an idiot?
Lexa Doig was an idiot...

...And I'm not sweaty.

With all the members, with all the visitors, with all the post, with all the professions, with the number of locations, ENWorld touches every corner of the world, and if Vin does not know about it, like the old Kevin Bacon game how far removed can he be from it!

EN World isn't as widespread as we'd like to believe. Out of the about 7 players who've floated through my game in the last 3 years, many of whom are more "hardcore" than I, none of them have ever heard of this site, aside from myself.

I've spoken with both Raymond Feist and Tad Williams by e-mail myself....Feist, back when I was on his mailing list and was asking him questions, and Tad Williams through his site. No other celebrities that I know of.

There are, in fact, only five of us. So utterly, pathetically lonely that we log in with multiple names and have fake conversations with each other.

Let's say that there is a 50-50 chance that Vin is on ENWorld. If he is, then there is a 20% chance (since there are only 5 of us) that any given post is by him. Taking these two into account, the total mean chance that any given post is by Vin Diesel is 10%. As we all know, a thread with two posts instead of one has a 15% chance that Vin Diesel has posted. As the post-count in any given thread increases, the probability that Vin Diesel has posted rises to trivially close to 100%.

Thus Vin Diesel has posted to every thread on ENWorld.

QED.

PS: Next up is my proof that, in fact, 100% of all hivemind posts are made by Will Wheaton himself.

I, for one, have played DnD on and off for many years, and thought I had visited all the major DnD websites. It wasn't until I was at a barbeque alsih2o was hosting a short time ago, and he and another fellow gamer started gossiping about IansWorld.com that I heard of this place. Later that night I e-mailed him wondering where to find this IansWorld, and he pointed me in the right direction ;p.

That said, ever since I got here I have found it to be about the single most valuable DnD forum/resource on the net, and have been sharing it with friends far and wide.

This Van Deekin dude, being a DnD nut apparently, surely has visited here before.
