D&D General Do you track ammunition?

I don't remember which OSR game it is that has a resource die that players roll to see if they run out of their equipment (Knave? Cairn? Errant?), but if it starts to become an issue in my games -- say, a multi-week trek into the underdark with no chance to return to the surface to resupply -- that's probably what I'm going to rely on.

Only in places where they can't get resupply. Deep in the dungeon or Chult.
If you really want to mess with players and pcs turn on tracking weight, ammo, rations and water. Monks get ticked off when they move 20ft instead 40 feet.

Magic/limited ammo, yes. But not mundane ammo that could be easily acquired/crafted, which is most cases. I did track ammo in 2e and 3e as a player... not sure what changed. Must be shifting priorities.

The players are supposed to, but I don't think they do

I surprised my DM recently when I said I was running out of rations (a similar concern)
Rations is a really interesting one because there's a relatively low-level spell (create food and water) that makes them not so important. (Or goodberry, I guess).

Meanwhile, is there any spell that creates arrows? ;)
